The course of action depends on whether the ring is too small or too large. If it’s too small, just send it back and I’ll size it up for free. If it’s too large, I’ll have to charge you a $70 resizing fee, since I’ll need to cut the ring open, remove metal, and solder it back together. This is fairly time consuming, hence the fee. 5 stars 4 stars 3 stars 2 stars 1 star What are your shipping times? The first piece of the Celestial Collection. Galileo is a delicate piece depicting Saturn and a star. A gap between the two elements creates definition and visual interest, and also allows it to be easily resized whenever you like. Saturn is generally accepted to represent meaning and structure, so it’s a great reminder to maintain our responsibilities and commitments.
Galileo is named after the famous astronomer and scientist Galileo Galilei, who was the first person to observe Saturn’s incredible rings. His work was so influential in so many fields that he’s been called the “father of observational astronomy”, the “father of modern physics”, the “father of the scientific method”, and the “father of modern science”. Galileo was a strong advocate for Heliocentrism – the idea that the Earth and planets revolve around the sun.
This was met with persecution by the Inquisition and Catholic Church, who declared that his ideas undermined Holy Scripture. They later declared him “vehemently suspect of heresy”, and threatened him with physical torture if he refused to denounce his ideas of heliocentrism. All of his previous and future works were banned, and he was placed under house arrest for the rest of his life, where he continued on with his works on kinematics and material properties. Galileo allegedly stated “and yet it moves” after the sentence was delivered against him, referring to the Earth moving around the sun.
Galieleo is forged from 940 Argentium Silver using techniques dating back over 6,000 years. Each piece is made to order and handcrafted by me. The ring comes with a certificate of authenticity in a wax-sealed envelope so you know it’s the real deal.
