How do I find my ring size?

The easiest way is to order using the “Buy now, size later.” option. You’ll get a ring sizer delivered to your house the next business day, or the same day if you live pretty close to me. Click here for more info!

What is Argentium Silver

Argentium Silver is essentially a modern, upgraded version of sterling silver, which was “invented” in the 1300s by King Edward the first. Although the history behind this alloy is rich and fascinating, in my experience sterling silver leaves something to be desired in terms of appearance and durability. Do your pieces have warranties?

All Urban Sterling products are covered by a comprehensive warranty. If your piece has any quirks you think shouldn’t be there, let me know and send me a some photos. If it looks like a workmanship problem I’ll issue an immediate full refund or replacement upon return postage. 

I also offer free restorations at any time for life. Just send the piece back and I’ll do the rest.

Do you do customs?

Customs are my bread and butter. I’m almost always working on at least a few custom orders at any given point in time. If you’d like to learn more, or make an enquiry, click here.

Will your rings turn my finger green?

No they won’t. This occurs when rings are made of low quality materials and plated to look like silver. Copper, for example, will produce the green finger effect. It’s possible that the first wear of one of my rings might produce a darkish stain on your finger from the polishing medium. If this happens on the first wear, it won’t happen again after that. It’s also worth noting that this compound isn’t toxic and will wash out with soap since it’s essentially just grease and fine grit.

Do you include physical invoices with packaging?

No I don’t. All invoicing is done via email, so if your order is a gift you can ship it directly to the recipient’s address or give them the entire package so they can unbox it themself.

What is the “Inner Sanctum”. Is this a cult?

The Inner Sanctum is an exclusive program for my most loyal followers. It allows them to gain access to a generous amount of free stuff and privileges. What are your production times?

You can expect to receive a ring or pendant within 7-12 business days, including postage. The wait time for a bracelet or necklace is around 4-5 business days because they aren’t as time consuming to make. International customers should expect to wait around 3-4 weeks since postage takes a long time from Australia. The wait times are because every Urban Sterling product is handmade for you specifically. Once you order, the ring or chain is made from scratch and goes through the entire production process before it’s posted out to you.

Is this jewellery sustainably sourced?

In short, yes. Urban Sterling uses only sustainably sourced precious metals and 100% biodegradable packaging. 100% of the silver I use is a modern alloy called “Argentium silver”. This alloy is certified as 100% recycled metal by the Argentium company. On top of this, my manufacturer Palloys is the only casting company in Australia willing to be subject to yearly investigations by the Conflict Metals group. This ensures that Palloys is fully compliant with the LBMA, OECD and World Gold Council Conflict Gold Policies.  All precious metal issued by Palloys is sourced in a way that does not cause, support or benefit unlawful conflict, or contribute to human rights abuses or breaches of international law. Read more here.

How do I track my order?

As soon as I post your order, you’ll receive shipping updates from AusPost to the email and / or phone number you used to place your order. You should also receive emails updating you on what stage of the production process your piece is currently in. If you’re confused or want a delivery timeframe estimate, just shoot me a text or DM and ask. I don’t bite 🙂
