How do I find my ring size?

The easiest way is to order using the “Buy now, size later.” option. You’ll get a ring sizer delivered to your house the next business day, or the same day if you live pretty close to me. Click here for more info!

What is Argentium Silver

Argentium is a modern evolution of sterling silver; cleaner, brighter, and far more resistant to tarnish. It was developed as a refinement of the centuries-old sterling formula, and it’s the only silver alloy I use for my rings.

Do your pieces have warranties?

All Urban Sterling products are covered by a comprehensive 99 year warranty; the One Century Promise.

Do you do customs?

Will your rings turn my finger green?

No they won’t. This occurs when rings are made of low quality materials and plated to look like silver. Copper, for example, will produce the green finger effect. It’s possible that the first couple wears of one of my rings might produce a darkish stain on your finger from the polishing medium. 

If this happens on the first couple wears, it won’t happen again after that. It’s also worth noting that this compound isn’t toxic and will wash out with soap since it’s essentially just grease and fine grit.

Do you include physical invoices with packaging?

No I don’t. All invoicing is done via email, so if your order is a gift you can ship it directly to the recipient’s address or give them the entire package so they can unbox it themself. 

What are your production times?

Production times vary depending on demand, since every Urban Sterling piece is made to order. You can see the current production schedule and time estimate on the front page of the website.

As a general guide, Australian orders usually take around 2–3 weeks, while international orders take 3–4 weeks including postage.

Each piece is crafted from scratch, made, finished, and packaged by hand, so timelines can shift slightly depending on how full the bench is.

Is this jewellery sustainably sourced?

In short, yes. Urban Sterling uses only sustainably sourced precious metals and 100% biodegradable packaging. 100% of the silver I use is a modern alloy called Argentium silver. This alloy is certified as 100% recycled metal by the Argentium company. 

On top of this, my manufacturer Palloys is the only casting company in Australia willing to be subject to yearly investigations by the Conflict Metals group. This ensures that Palloys is fully compliant with the LBMA, OECD and World Gold Council Conflict Gold Policies.  All precious metal issued by Palloys is sourced in a way that does not cause, support or benefit unlawful conflict, or contribute to human rights abuses or breaches of international law. Read more here.

How do I track my order?

As soon as I post your order, you’ll receive shipping updates from AusPost to the email and / or phone number you used to place your order. You should also receive emails updating you on what stage of the production process your piece is currently in.
