Urban Sterling is all about taking inspiration from history and ancient cultures, and this ring does exactly that. The runes inscribed into the band are from the Younger Furthark alphabet; a child language of the Elder Furthark tongue. Unbelievable I know. Younger Furthark also goes by Scandinavian Runic. The lifetime of this language corresponds with the Viking Age.
The ring itself is a 925 Sterling Silver band inscribed with Younger Furthark runes. Get your choice of band type (Faceted, Rounded, Straight) and runes. Leave your request in the additional section of your order and I will translate it into the runes for you. If you would like me to translate it into a different runic alphabet – Anglo-Saxon for example, just let me know and I’ll get it done! The ring comes with an Urban Sterling certificate of authenticity in a wax-sealed envelope. Please let me know in the comments section of the checkout who you’d like me to address the certificate (in the case that its a gift). You can also shoot me a quick email at [email protected] if there’s anything else you’re keen on, including an engraving.
My Viking Rune Bands are hand-made from gleaming 925 Sterling Silver using techniques dating back to over 6,000 years ago (more info here). Each piece is made to order and hand crafted by me. Shipping times may vary due to demand. Expect to wait about 2-3 weeks on average 🙂
All Urban Sterling rings are made from 100% sustainably sourced precious metals. The mining and refining of the silver I use is guaranteed to not cause, support or benefit unlawful conflict, or contribute to human rights abuses or breaches of international law. You can read more about Urban Sterling ethical practices here.
I produce rings using US sizing. Please make sure you have the correct size since it is very difficult to resize a ring like this. I’ve provided some sizing charts here for your convenience.
