About the piece:

The Slate necklace is a rugged and utilitarian statement piece. Slate is a dark grey rock that is easily broken up into sharp, flat chunks, reflecting the style of the links from which the piece is made. The chain is designed to be sturdy and heavy to take years of punishment and reflect your bold personality. The Slate is unisex, however its thickness lends itself to thicker and broader male necks. If that’s you, you’ve found your chain. The only consideration you should make is mixing metals. When you mix gold and silver jewellery into your styling, it can look confusing and busy. I also offer these chains in bracelet form if you’d like one to match.

The piece is made thick links that have been twisted and flattened to closely lock together. The 50cm version of this chain sits high up on the chest, while the 60cm version drapes down to the mid-chest. The 45cm is quite tight, and the 70cm will sit very far down the chest and is best layered over thick winter clothing. Click here for more info on chain sizing.

The Slate necklace is crafted from 925 sterling silver, coated in a tarnish resistant layer to more closely replicate the durability and resilience of my 940 Argentium silver rings.

Your piece will be free from scratches, chips, tarnish, poor finishing, manufacturing faults and breaks, in other words it’ll be perfect. Note that some of my chains may have very slight distressing incorporated into the design, as is typical for handmade products. I personally check every piece thoroughly so you probably won’t need the warranty, but it’s there for your peace of mind.
