What is Argentium Silver
Argentium Silver is essentially a modern, upgraded version of sterling silver, which was “invented” in the 1300s by King Edward the first. Although the history behind this alloy is rich and fascinating, in my experience sterling silver leaves something to be desired in terms of appearance and durability. More info on the properties of Argentium Silver here.
Will your rings turn my finger green?
No they won’t. This occurs when rings are made of low quality materials and plated to look like silver. Copper, for example, will produce the green finger effect. Argentium silver is the highest quality silver alloy available, so it won’t have this effect.
Sustainable Metal Sourcing:
I use Argentium silver, a 100% sustainably sourced and recycled metal produced by the Argentium Company, ensuring ethical and environmentally friendly practices.
Certified Suppliers:
Palloys, the only Australian casting company certified by LBMA, OECD, and World Gold Council, supplies metals that comply with strict ethical standards, including the RJC certification for responsible jewelry practices.
Australian Labor and Manufacturing:
I use exclusively Australian labor and manufacturing for all aspects of production, maintaining slavery-free supply chains and supporting the local economy, with the exception of FSC-certified packaging from Denmark.

I offer change of mind returns for store credit. If your piece has any quirks you think shouldn’t be there, let me know and send me a some photos. If it looks like a workmanship problem I’ll issue an immediate full refund or replacement upon return postage.
Bought the wrong size? The course of action depends on whether the ring is too small or too large. If it’s too small, just send it back and I’ll size it up for free. If it’s too large, I’ll have to charge you a $70 resizing fee, since I’ll need to cut the ring open, remove metal, and solder it back together. This is fairly time consuming, hence the fee.

Every empire believes it will last forever. The earth knows better.
On this ring’s face, a sword dissolves into leaves. Not metaphor, but prophecy. Look closer: metal shards scatter down one side while foliage climbs the other. The space between them holds more truth than either image alone.
This is Providence. The final word of the Abyssal Chapter.
The sword represents our greatest delusion: that what we build matters on the timeline that actually counts. We forge weapons, raise monuments, carve our names into stone. The sapling knows what we refuse to accept. It will outlive every blade, grow through every monument, erase every name we thought permanent.
The earth watches our urgency with infinite patience. To her, civilisations bloom and wither like seasons. Our proudest achievements become her raw materials. Our “forever” is her Tuesday afternoon.
Is this nihilism, or is it liberation?
When you wear Providence, you carry the most radical truth available: your insignificance is your freedom. The universe doesn’t care about your failures any more than your victories. The earth will reclaim both with equal indifference. This knowledge should make you wilder, not smaller. More willing to risk, to love, to build knowing it will fall.
The ring’s negative space serves as meditation. Between sword and sapling lies the void where transformation happens. Where human ambition meets natural law and loses every time. Where losing stops feeling like failure and starts feeling like coming home.
The only meaningful response to cosmic indifference is to live as if every second matters, knowing none of them do.
DESIGNER’S NOTES:
Sometimes you bash your head against an idea for weeks trying to make it work. Other times it just arrives fully formed.
This one came to me sitting on the rooftop of an old abandoned velodrome after school. The shape, the sword transitioning into the sapling, the split black-and-silver face. I saw the whole thing at once and sketched it in about ten minutes.
Made the first draft that week. Barely changed anything from the initial sketch, which almost never happens.
The split oxidation was the key: half polished silver, half black. It creates this stark division that really stands out.
Providence eventually became the best-selling piece I’ve ever made. If I had to pick one ring that defined the 2022-2023 era of Urban Sterling, it’s this one. Bold oxidised volumes, heavy symbolism, strong geometric shapes. Everything I was trying to figure out how to do, compressed into one design.
It’s the final piece of the Abyssal Chapter, the conclusion to everything that collection was exploring about impermanence and transformation. Seemed right that it would be the one that connected most with people.
I still wear it regularly. Definitely still holds up.
Mason’s bench notes, July 2025.
