Studio gift wrapping:

Artefacts
Tier I - Tai & The Gambler
Tai 対 was a pure experiment, created outside the chapter system to explore negative space, the concept of framing a void. It was significant because it proved the value of pursuing ideas purely for exploration, and its contrasts between rigid lines and organic forms strongly influenced later designs.
I made The Gambler in late 2022, during HSC exam season, capturing a rare poker upset to explore themes of risk and choice. Crucially, this piece represents the fork in the road when Urban Sterling went from a side project to a mission.
Tier II - Equipoise & Hope
Equipoise began as a chemistry experiment in February 2023: trying to permanently freeze the fleeting oxidation colours most jewellers ignore. It was crucial because it proved to me the workshop could be a lab, showing that chemical processes were creative tools, not just technical steps, defining the experimental direction the studio took afterward.
Hope was a breakthrough in late 2023 because it forced me to develop a new, individual wax method to achieve the detail I wanted for the burning hand design. This was critical: that technique became the standard for all more complex rings, making the detail in pieces like A Cheerful Fate possible.
Tier III- Studio Signet & Eye of Horus
This is an exact replica of the most significant piece in the studio’s history: the USCo. Signet. The original has been used to hand-press the wax seal on every single package sent since 2020, over 1,000 orders certified by one ring. I have never allowed this design to leave the bench until now. This artefact allows you to wear the founding piece of the studio; the constant, quiet symbol that verified the Urban Sterling project from the very start.
