PROVENANCE: VICENZA
The City of Gold.
When it comes to chain-making, "Made in Italy" is a requirement, not a label. I returned to my family's roots to find a weave that matches the weight and integrity of our Australian-made pendants.
Rated for: Saltwater / Sweat / 24-7 Wear.
The Source
I craft my rings in Newcastle, but the chains are weaved in Vicenza; La Città dell’oro. It is the only place on earth that treats a silver chain like a piece of architecture. While the rest of the world chases volume, Vicenza chases density.
The Standard
My Nonno wore the same pendant every day for 40 years. It didn’t survive because of Italian magic; it survived because it was a solid, engineered alloy. If it had been a hollow casting, it would have been in the bin by 1980. I learned early that for a piece to have a story, it first needs to have a future. That is why I refuse to compromise on the chain. These are not hollow fillers; they are solid artifacts designed to outlive you.
The Infinite Fit
Applies to Ignis, Pathfinder, and Orion chains; these feature open links, the clasp can attach to any point along the chain.
Pro Tip: If undecided, order the longer size. You can clip a 60cm chain at 50cm to frame a shirt, or wear it full length over a tee. You can always shorten a long chain; you cannot extend a short one.
MENS GUIDANCE
45cm (Choker): High on the neck. Only recommended for slim builds or high-visibility styling.
50cm (Standard): Sits at the collarbone.
Style Rule: Best for button-up shirts. Sits cleanly inside the open collar.
Warning: On thicker necks, this may sit too high.
60cm (Relaxed): Sits mid-chest (sternum).
Style Rule: Best for T-shirts/Crew necks. Clears the ribbed collar entirely and sits flat against the chest.
70cm+ (Statement): Sits at the solar plexus. Designed to be worn over hoodies or heavy layers.
WOMENS GUIDANCE
40cm (Choker): Sits high on the neck base. Best for open necklines.
45cm (Standard): Sits elegantly on the collarbone. The default choice for most women.
50cm (Relaxed): Sits below the collarbone. Great for pendants or wearing over high-neck tops.
60cm+ (Layering): Sits at the bust line. Ideal for wearing over winter knits or layering with a shorter chain.
BRACELET SIZING
Measure your wrist circumference and add 1.5cm for the correct fit. (e.g., 16cm Wrist → Order 17.5cm / 18cm Bracelet)
ASSEMBLY LEAD TIMES
While my rings are cast to order, my chains are held on the spool and hand assembled in Newcastle. This allows for a faster turnaround than my foundry pieces. Each chain is cut to length, polished, and finished with my signature anti-tarnish coating before shipping.
Australia / NZ: Approx. 3–6 Business Days.
USA / International: Approx. 1–2 Weeks via DHL Express. (Need it faster? Email the studio for expedited assembly).
THE 30-DAY FIELD TEST (RETURNS)
I don’t believe in “unworn” returns. A chain is a piece of engineering; you need to test the weight. Once your chain arrives, you have 30 days to test it in the real world. Wear it in the shower, the gym, and under your shirt. If the weight doesn’t feel right or you haven’t bonded with the piece after a month of active duty, ship it back for a full refund. No questions asked.
THE FIT GUARANTEE (EXCHANGES)
Because of the architectural nature of the links, a chain cannot be “resized” like a ring. It can only be shortened or swapped.
The Policy: If you ordered a 50cm and it feels like a choker, or you ordered a 70cm and it’s hitting your belt line, simply send it back within 30 days. I’ll exchange it for the correct length, free of charge. (Note: The Ignis, Pathfinder, and Orion chains feature open links, so you can always clasp a long chain shorter, but you cannot make a short chain longer.)
THE ONE CENTURY PROMISE
This is not a standard consumer warranty. It is a 99-year service agreement designed to keep this piece in circulation for generations.

Standard chains are machine-made by the kilometer. This one is built link by link. Each component is cast in solid silver, hand-soldered and finished, and oxidised to highlight the geometry.
Opus emerged from months of experiments in the Newcastle workshop. Testing oxidation levels until the black finally bit deep enough into the recesses. Until the contrast between polished high points and darkened valleys created exactly the depth I was after.
The result: a chain where engraved links alternate with smooth connectors in a rhythm that feels both ancient and engineered. Spirals and botanical patterns carved into each decorated link, while plain links provide breathing room between the ornamentation. It’s this balance that gives Opus its distinctive weight and movement.
There’s something about the proportions that makes these satisfying to handle. The decorated links are substantial enough to feel their individual weight, while the plain links keep the detail from being overwhelming.
925 sterling silver with oxidised detailing. Treated and finished in Newcastle with the same attention to detail as my rings.
9mm link diameter, fits tighter due to thickness – size up 1cm from your normal bracelet size.
THE WORKSHOP, AUGUST 2025
The smell of acetone and sulfur hangs heavy in the air, that sharp, chemical reminder that something’s changing. I lift the links from the bath one by one, turning them under the bench lights.
For weeks they’ve come out wrong, too pale, too clean, the surface refusing to take on that quiet depth I’ve been chasing. But tonight, finally, they darken just right: the recesses are a deep jet black.
That’s how Opus began, not from a sketch or moodboard, but from chemical experimentation. Through the slow iteration of form and tone until nothing more could be added or taken away.
DESIGNER’S NOTES:
It’s been months of refining small things that most people never notice: the surface finish of the links, the darkness of the oxidation.
At this point, I’m not sure if it’s attention to detail or just stubbornness but I’m happy with how it turned out in the end.
One thing about this bracelet: while the engraved links tend to steal the spotlight, Opus is just as much about the proportions and weight between them. It’s got a really interesting feel to it that I’m going to try and incorporate into future pieces.
